WRONG, boy the 2 options scare the hell out of me, lumpectomy with radiation OR mastectomy?? i dont like either option really but i am leaning towards mastectomy with reconstruction. i am small, 34B at the most. i am scared about all this but know i need to do something!!! i'm in the very begining of all this is anyone else in the very begining??? thanks

Hi, On April 15th my sister is diagnosed with DCIS stage 0. She had Micro calcification on her right breast over 9CM. Doctors did Mastectomy ASAP on 21 of April. She did not go for the reconstruction due to least possible complications and she is just 35 years old and a mother of 6,2 yrs old kids. I told her “for your kids you gave a **** in the form of breast”. Now she is doing OK, but still she is having nightmares.

So, based on your situation please take the appropriate steps. My prayers are always with you all who are in need.

Hi, I have a follow-up tomorrow after a biopsy last week. After the first biopsy (sterotactic) I met with the surgeon who was going to perform the 2nd (surgical) biopsy and he mentioned dcis and that it was grade 0 and 100% curable. I didn't know that those were the 2 options for treatment so I guess I'm a little more nervous about tomorrows appt. Did you have microcalcifications? I did.
