3 1/2 yr old son, UPJ, pees himself

My son is 3 1.2 and generally potty trained, he hasn't had accidents once he got the hang of it. He was diagnosed with UPJ at 3 months old..no surgeries performed, just monitoring yearly.
Recently, he started pee'ing himself, without even knowing that he did it...could this be a symptom of his UPJ Obstruction starting to cause him problems?
