In the past, when I started skipping periods, I would occasionally have discharge like yours and other times I would get that dark old blood type of period you're talking about. I thought it was my period too. Since I had skipped so many periods, I figured that perhaps all that old stuff was barely getting out of my body. You should talk to your doctor about it though, perhaps you can do a few months of birth control pills to try to regulate your period. Good luck and I hope you get pregnant again soon.
