Drops for pressure

by jan17, May 08, 2008 05:05PM
I need clarification because on the 10th day of face down position for macular hole surgery I was able to see images and could read clearly above the gas bubble and was quite excited about being able to see. I had no concerns whatsoever during those 10 days. I went to the ophthamologist the next day who stated the pressure was 34 and I needed drops. With 2 doses of drops I had thousands of tiny floaters break loose and a veil formed in my sight. I was encouraged to continue using the drops and a few days later was diagnosed with uvietis and macular edema. After 3 months I have not had my vision return and continually feel that this maybe the cause of my loss of vision.

I'm sorry but the nature of your problem and your concerns do not allow us to make any judgments about the cause, treatment and results you've experienced. You best source is your surgeon. You can also always get a second opinion from another group of retina surgeons. Find one at www.aao.org
