I went to the eye doctor today because of eye pain and cloudness.  I am 44 and have a cateract.  I already knew of the cateract.  He ask me if I had high cholestrol.  I still don't know about the eye pain.  He told me right before I left his office to get my cholestrol check.  I did and it is fine.  What is up with this?  I am currently take HRT does this have anything to do with this?  Should I be worried?
Thanks,
Teresa

High cholesterol can be associated with clouding of the peripheral cornea.  This is called arcus and it often occurs with normal cholesterol as well.  The cataract is unrelated.  You may need cataract surgery soon.  I'm sorry but the doctor did not address your pain which is a totally unrelated problem.  I wouldn't be worried - just get your cataract surgery when indicated by your ophthalmologist.  If pain persists call the doctor to be seen again.
