Headache or Stroke??

by rmiraclep, May 08, 2008 09:08PM
I had a stroke back in 2006.
Lately, I have had headaches that have lasted for approximately 30 minutes.
Everytime I have a headache,
I think I am going to have another stroke.
How do I get around this,
or am I always gonna think this is the big one?
Or, is there anything that I can do but pray that its not the big one??
Please help..

Hello Dear,
Transient Ischaemic Attack or a mini stroke  is caused by the temporary disturbance of blood supply to a restricted area of the brain, resulting in brief neurologic dysfunction that usually persists for less than 24 hours. The most frequent symptoms include temporary loss of vision ; difficulty speaking (aphasia); weakness on one side of the body (hemiparesis); and numbness or tingling (paresthesia), usually on one side of the body, sudden severe headache. Impairment of consciousness is very uncommon. If there are neurological symptoms persisting for more than 24 hours, it is classified as a cerebrovascular accident, or stroke.
You have to be alert  as headache may be an initial sign and followup your doctor regularly, take your medicines control your cholesterol and blood pressure levels .
