hey ladies and gents i'm going to be 37 in june i'm now pregnant with my third child.  I was in a car accident about a year ago. now i take two 50mgs of tramadol once a day (less mg if i can) i'm trying not to take it at all but the pain is unbearable at least three times a week.  I also have RLS(since childhood) Tylenol does nothing. Has anyone else taken tramadol while pregnant or can anyone give me any ideas to bring up other med. alternatives with my dr.(who knows I take tram but isn't happy about it. I'm so very scared that i'm hurting the baby but don't know what else to do.

I have it really bad!!!  my ob told me not to get the medication for it for the babys sake. So I have to tough it out. pregnancy really brings it out. they told me it will go away after the pregnancy..

I have tried it all... exercise, baths, lavendar, tylenol, pillows, ... I have just learned to take naps durning the day. Im sorry you have to go threw it. Im in my last month.. and its even worse now... I wish I could have something to help you.. but there isnt anything... that I have found. ugh maybe get your iron level checked?  but I do fill for you.. I just despise the nights these days, and really dread them. oh... I do manage to get a couple of hours sleep on the couch. for some reason? but atleast its a couple hours.

hang in there... Its just one of those thing we put up with for our little ones sake. or if you find out anything... please let me know.. smile

Talk to your doctor.  There are some things that you can take.

Someone in here was talking about acupuncture the other day, and I started looking into it, in may case for relaxation.  Apparantly it works on all kinds of things, pain and RLS included (works about 50% of the time), and poses no harm at all to baby.  Might be worth it to give it a try.

Good luck to you.

Ive used acupunture for back pain in years past....and it quite effective for me personally.  And while its odd to feel the chi move its probably a really good option for you to investigate to see if its something that works well for you that wont harm your baby.

All the best to u!
