Swollen testicle (post-vasectomy

by shinigami, May 09, 2008 06:12AM
Ok, a year ago I had a vesectomy.  While the operation was going on, he was finishing up on my right testicle.  I felt a very sharp pain and asked him "what was that?"  He looked very surprised and said "oh nothing".  Since then, my right testicle has been twice the size of the other and has been quite irritable.  I've gone back to him several times and he says that nothing is wrong and this is normal.  Quite frankly I think he's lying.  With over 35 years of experience I would have thought he would be a good urologist to select.

So I want to know if this is normal.  I had local anestetic (spelling?) and felt nothing the whole time except for that.  It also feels as though the vas is attached to my testicle.  The pain is felt above the right testicle where it would go into my body, for  lack of a better term.

I plan on seeking a second opinion, but I would like to know what I am up against.  thank you
