Genital warts? possilby melanoma?

I just wanted to thank you in advance for taking time to answer my question.  I am a sexually active male. I have posted links to pictures of the spots in question. All the spots are flat and cannot be felt with the hands.  I have known about the two larger spots for a couple years, but I never thought anything of them. I thought they were marks from where i cut myself shaving.  I didn't know warts could possibly look like that. Then two days ago i noticed two other spots on the topside of my penis.(I know these spots have been there since at least august because my girlfriend and I took pictures together. I went back and looked at the pictures we took and saw them).  I became really freaked out and noticed more on my scrotum.  I have scheduled a doctors appointment, but I can't wait two weeks worrying about this. Please help

As a rule, we do not look at pictures on this site. It has been our experience that to do (look at pictures) so does not help nearly so much as being examined by a knowledgeable health care provider (in your case, a dermatologist might be best).  That said, I did break my rule and look at the spots you describe.  From a distance, some of the penile lesions do have characteristics that suggest warts while the ones on your scrotum seem to be benign hyper pigmented areas that are present in many people.  As you point out. all of these lesions have been present for a long time and have changed little, thus you can be reasonably sure they are not emergencies.  On the other hand, they are on your mind.  the way to get them off of your mind is to go on and get examined by a knowledgeable clinician at your convenience.  There is little to worry about.  Hope this is help.  EWH
