My dad has recently been diagnosed with NPH.  We have gone through all the test and he is not a candidate for a shunt.  He lived by himself and was always on the run so no one ever really noticed his gait.  When we did we all thought it was his knee that should have been repalaced years ago.   He also hid that he was incontinent . needles to say thing progressed.   He has now lost his ability to walk is incontinant and has lost his bowel control & his memory is not very good.  He is now in a nursing home.   (Very Sad)

What is the life expectancy of this disease if nothing can be done?

I have seen a quick decline in the last 8 months or so.

Thanks You
