If this is occuring with change of seasons, along with change in foods , it's normal. Most people eat differently in Spring,Winter,Summer, and Fall and the bidy has to make adjustments.
Also changes in job schedules may change the regularity of eating a balanced diet, the frequency between meals, and how much water we consume. Any of therse factors will upset the intestinal tract.
The foul burps may be caused by that septic tank we call a stomach not emptying fast enough after foods start to break down, If you can't eat regularly, at least consume water frequently throughout the day .

I think it might be a combination of over-eating and not drinking enough water. I do semi-regularly add extra fibre to my diet, but I suppose I should do that on a more regular basis.
