I understand your concern. Every operation has its risks even the simpler ones. Moreso with spinal operations such as laminectomy which can indeed result to symptoms much like your husband is experiencing. However, with diligent physical therapy, these may resolve completely or may leave residual symptoms. The present pain that he is experiencing may be an aggravation of the symptoms from the previous surgery which can be triggered by stressful situations or acute illnesses like infections. It is also possible that there can be a new nerve compression and I suggest that you take this to his doctor so that it can be evaluated properly. Hoping for a full recovery, God bless.
