It is really too early to issue all those diagnoses for your son. If it is true that he displays bilogically-based mental heath conditions, he will require therapy and medication. But the precise course his life will take is not possible to forcast. Much will depend on the nature of the treatments and supports he is able to recieve.

I have a 9 yr old son diagnosed with bipolar and adhd. In all the research I've done, I discovered a mental illness diagnosis is not scientific fact. Were these diagnosises given by one doctor? Or were they from several doctors? You can get a different diagnosis from every doctor you go to. Unless a single doctor has done extensive testing and evaluation on your son, it's not 100% sure that he has all these things! I am really interrested to know if this was one doctor, or more than one. What kind of treatment in your son getting? What kind of doctor does he see? What are the diagnosises based on?
