Hi everyone! How thoughtful of you all to be checking up on me. I'm back in Colorado, I've been home for a week or so. I've been taking some time away from the forums, I check everyday, just don't post as much as I used to. The main reason is because I'm dealing with other issues besides cancer (is that possible??) right now. Luke's best friend overdosed on pain killers this past week, and he obviously took it very hard. The funeral was this past Saturday and Luke gave a speech which was beautiful. His friend has had a problem for years, Luke and his friend's mom has tried endlessly to get him help, he just couldn;t quit. With that on our plates, the start of Doxil/Avastin, and the recent set back in Houston, I've experienced some stress. I think that is another reason why I have not posted much, I'm just mentally tired. I read the forum everyday, I just don't have the energy to respond like I used to.
I did start Doxil/Avastin last Wed, and have not experienced any hand/foot rashes or mouth sores thank GOD! I'll keep you all posted.
I hope you all had a fabulous mother's day. My mother is my hero! Love to you all, D

So sorry to hear about Lukes best friend, It is so hard losing people we love. Know you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Thank you for your update.  I'm sorry Luke has lost his friend.  How horrible for him.  And, you are right, you have so much stress in your life.  I'm sorry about that.  I, too, pray that you keep your strength and that fighting spirit you have up.

Wow ... enough already.  Sympathy to Luke (& you) at the loss of his friend.

FYI .. a friend was on topotecan with nothing happening.  They added Avastin to the mix and the tumor is shrinking.  Hopefully, the same will happen for you with the Doxil/Avastin regimine.
