Acne or allergy?

I used to have acne on my face but that has been under control for years now.  I still have oily skin but my spots are under control and I only get the occasional one.  However, my upper back is still really bad and occasionally my chest and shoulders are affected.  The weird thing is that over the last few years, at the beginning of the summer when the hot weather starts, I get lots of tiny whiteheads all over the sides and back of my neck, the very upper portion of my back and around my mouth and chin.  It's quite distressing as it looks awful and means I am too paranoid to show my back and my neck (kind of impossible as I have short hair).  The length of time it lasts is varied - at the moment, my neck is really bad but the spots around my mouth and on my chin have calmed down and gone.  My back and shoulders are bad though, with large red spots.  Is there anything more I can do other than keep the areas clean and use anti-blemish products (that don't seem to work)?  Can anyone help or do I need to see a doctor?

I like Clinique's Blemish Solutions Chest and Back spray. I also recommend seeing your doctor for a course of oral antibiotics like oxytetracycline. If you are female changing to an anti-androgen contraceptive pill like Dianette will also help. Loiloi x
