How to relieve lower back sharp pains?? please help!!

When my girlfriend was shopping yesterday she had 1 foot on the bottom of the shopping cart and then sneezed and her back went out. She said she blacked out and lost hearing for a little bit. Now she has sharp lower back pains right by the tail bone which travels down her legs and sometimes her muscles cramp up just like a Charlie horse in your leg. What can she do?? she has been using a heating pad and Tylenol so far.... please help!
