ALS? Family History- High CK Levels-Fasiculations-Previous Neurosurgeries

by cervicalspine, May 11, 2008 12:27PM
I have had multiple previous neurosurgeries (C3-C5) and have Myelopathy- several of my orthopedic doctors have looked at my abnormal EMG's (leg fasiculations) and recommended follow up for possible ALS due to family history (Father's Side). I have now developed an abnormal gait- and can see muscles twitching in my arms, legs, and side which my primary neurologist believes is from permanent spinal cord damage. However, my family Doctor has run CK levels- and they have been high multiple times. What tests need to be done to rule out ALS? Help!
