I am a patient of Hepatitis C and taking treatment of peg interon. my wife wants to get pregnent. what can be the worse condition if she will be pregnent during my treatment both for her and the baby? what would be the expected side effects?

Hello,

Your treatment shouldn't have any affect on your wife or a potential child.  She should be tested for Hep C and you should talk to your hepatologist about when they think it will be a good time for you two to begin attempts at conception.

Best regards,

Dr. Downing
