breathing problem

I have trouble inhaling.The doctor has given me Advair to try inhaling in the morning and evening but i have trouble taking full breaths..I don't think the medecine is being received into my lungs because of this...I am going to have a sleep study taken and would appreciate any suggestions or ideas anyone may have..I have trouble getting to sleep and wake up when this happens..and am very exhausted much of the time..I am 60 years ol..
