imflmed esophagus

my girlfriend  has a inflamed  esophagus..she had a colenospy..and they looked at her esophagus  said it could have been bleeding causing her to be anmic..does the DRUG  ( PRILOSEC  KELP THIS DISORDE??????)  IF SHE KEEPS EATING THE WAY SHE DOES WILL THIS DRUG STILL HELP HER?? I DO KNOW THIS KEEPS THE ACID DOWN TO A MINNAUM...............( CAN YOU PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS)  THANKS !!!!!

Prilosec is for acid reflux.  I assume her esophagus is inflamed from the acid, so she needs to take something to reduce it.  I'm surprised the doctor did not prescribe something like Nexium or Prevacid.  She should probably stay away from foods with a lot of acid, like orange juice, tomatoes, spicy things.

I don't know about the anemic thing.  What does the doctor say?
