kidney stones

by super8, May 11, 2008 09:15PM
I have not been able to get an answer to this question from my own Dr.. I have had high blood pressurefor a few years now and recently I had lithroscopy(kidney stones) surgery and since then my blood pressure has been normal and they taken me off my hydrochlorizide(water pill), do you have an explanation of why this happened or how. Also this is the second time I have had kidney stones removed, this one was larger and was lodged in my ureter and they had to go in thru my back to remove it, I have been home now for a month and I still do not feel very well, I do a little bit of walking or sitting and I  get pain in my kidney area or sometimes in my side which really uncomfortable and I have to take T3's for the pain, is thia unusual. What do you think my chances are of getting more stones.Thank you for your time in this matter.                                                                                          Janet

Anytime you get stones there is always a chance or recurrence. Kidney stones could have made you have high bp as the blockage might do that. Your kidneys are a big reason that we have regulated blood pressure.
