shot in the eye this morning(airsoft)

by wildshananagans, May 11, 2008 10:32PM
my brother blind fired his airsoft pistol through a doorway and hit my in the eye, it hit the lower eyelid right at the edge of my iris.  it was just close to the edge of the lid, about 1mm from where the upper meets the lower.  all day my vision has been blurred when i first look at things but if i close one eye and look through the injured eye everything focuses up within a couple seconds(this only works with closer distances)...and occasionally when i focus far away(with both eyes) or extremely close i get a burning/painful sensation in my eye then it begins to water.  there is a darker spot in my lower left hand side of my vision(my left eye got hit) and its moderately bloodshot.

Each year there are many eyes lost to airsoft and airgun injuries. You need to contact an Eye MD early tomorrow and go in for an exam. It is important. Some of the injuries are delayed and the worse comes 3-5 days after the injury.
