mono an multi iol's

I have a Rezoom in r. eye which I am considering explanting due to Rezoom's normal low light problems while my  vision is fairly good and not distracting in good light. My other eye will need Cateract surgery soon and I could not stand another Rezoom situation like I have.  So my question is would a mono focal lens in one eye and Rezoom in  other eye work well together, any history on this, and if so what Mono lens would you recommend?  Thanks for your reply.   duane54

There is no guarantee here regardless of what you do but to break it down very simply, you basically have three options when the second eye needs surgery:  1.  another rezoom or restor (with it's own issues)
2.  A crystalens
3.  A monofocal aspheric IOL like tecnis, LI61AO, or Acrysof IQ.

Since you have already had trouble with a multifocal lens - you might want to defer that option 1.  The crystalens would it's own variables to the situation so you might want to defer option 2.  That leaves option three and any of those three lenses would be fine.

Do you know of anyone who has mixed Rezoom and a Mono focal iol lens?    If so, what has been there experience or history?  I would love to hear from them.   Thanks   duane54
