Slapface disease

I thought I came down with the flu, influenza, last week, chills aching body and joints, slight fever.  Then my joints started to swell up and became very painful.  It moves around in my body but is mostly in my extremities and neck.  I was told that I have Slapface or Fifth's disease. I'm an adult and it feels like a bad case of arthritis.  Does this sound correct?

Have you seen your primary care physician? Did they tell you that you had Fifth's Disease?

Your description of your symptoms does not sounds like Fifth's Disease (as the person above stated).

Have you been outdoors recently? Have you been bitten by a tick recently?

You're welcome to respond with additional questions and when you do, please tell me how old you are, your gender, any other medical problems, medications, medical problems that run in your family, etc.

Did you have any contact with persons with similar symptoms?

hi,  my daughter had fifth disease, she wasn't sick , she had red patches all over her, but there was no pain with it, and it didn't bother her. there is nothing you can do for it, it will go away on its own within a week or so. it is contagious so you must have been around someone who had it, there really are no symptoms for it except for the redness.
that was my case, you could have it but doesn't sound like it. check with your doctor and look it up on the internet. hope this helps
