NF 1 and Lasik

by Alphabet34, May 12, 2008 08:50AM
I saw a post about NF 1 and Lasik.  I am a 40yr old W/M with NF 1 and the lynch nodules on both eyes.  My uncorrected vision is lousy something around 20/200.  I am seriously considering having Lasik done in the near future. I spoke to a genetic specialist at U. of Penn earlier in the month (an MD) who is my doctor there and they told me that there were no problems.  The doctor that would do the Lasik told me the same thing.  He gave me a very extensive examination and found that there are no problems with my eyes.
