premature adrenarche and mood swings

My child has been tagged as having premature adrenarche. We have done further testing to rule out CAH, and the latest tests indicate hormone levels are in an acceptable range. I haven't read any information indicating that PA leads to sudden mood changes. Our daughter is very moody at times and has sudden burst of rages. Can PA be caused by a brain tumor and should there have been a scan to rule out a possible link to the brain causing these outburst and mood swings??

I often hear this from my parents, the problem is that the premature adrenarche shows up right around the age that many kids start having some emotional problems controlling their feelings-6, 7, 8 or so.
I laugh with my parents that if I had a magic pill trust me there would be a line out the door! My thoughts are that perhaps there is something else involved, the premature adrenarche is indeed a slightly early presentation of a normal process, sometimes comes earlier in children that are overweight, others may have been premature and others just have some genetic influence.
The hormones are male like hormones and usually the moods are really a problem with the female pubertal hormones, so firstly be sure your endo monitors her and checks to see that she is not entering early puberty(breast development or any sign of estrogen effect). Next work with your pediatrician to see how you can use some important behavioral modification for this out of normal bursts that she is having. It is very very doubtful that a brain tumor has contributed to premature adrenarche unless it is due to a cushing's tumor and if you had an acth stim test there would be clear evidence in the baseline hormones that the cortisol would be high and she would have many other problems.
