Update to Last Nights Bleeding

by adgal, May 12, 2008 10:33AM
So besides the one incident last night, nothing.  It was there and gone right away. I spoke to my OB/GYN's nurse this morning, and she said that because I am between 5 and 6 weeks pregnant, it could be implantation (I always though that was at 10 days or so past fertilization).  She also said it could be a blood vessel burst in the cervix or alot of different things.  Even though it was bright red, she said it happens alot, and the fact that there were no clots at all, and it was just one incident (it was more than spotting, but not super heavy), Plus still only very mild cramping is good and, I should try not to worry to much.  Unfortunately I have to wait until thursday, and the U/S should at least let me know if this is viable.  I am trying to stay calm, but this is going to be a horrible 4 days.  I am really freaked out.

Even i had bleeding between 6 -7 weeks i used bleed every evening at the same time for 4 days and one day had a big table spoon red blood, But there were no crampings, im Dr told me that they saw some blood in the uterus and it can be for various reasons, and i continiouslty had brown skin like discharge uptill  10 1/2 week pg. eveyr thing looks fine as i do not have any spotting and im 13 weeks pg now.

its easy to advice u to stay calm but definetly it will not helo, just lay down on the bed and put ur feet up.

Gosh I am sorry for the panic!!! Ugh....I had the same thing!! It was around wk 6.  But if you have no major cramping please please dont let it freak you out.  I was on the phone crying after it happened to me just nuts.  And it was all fine! They told me the same as your nurse....could be implantation or a burst blood vessel.  Either way....I freaked out.  I know right now that your mind is racing.  But be prepared over the next couple days if you wipe and see brown (old blood) that happened as well. Remember your cervix is way swollen right now but have faith that you are going to be fine.  Its going to be OK.  Remember I told you that. :-)

Thanks so much.  Although I wouldn't wish anyone to go through that sense of complete panic, it helps alot to know others went through it and their babies are still ok.  There has not been a drop of blood since, just that one quick bit.  It was in my urine stream a bit and on the tp (sorry, maybe TMI).  But no clots and no serious cramps, so I am hoping everything is fine. But the bright red is what really has me stressed out. I am just going to take it easy until I have my u/s thursday and pray hard.  Thanks for the support everyone.  And Carp, I am sure you are right.  Your the best!
