Minor Acne Scar Treatments..

by enz660, May 12, 2008 12:04PM
I am 19 years old and have have small dark areas on my face from previous acne. I noticed my acne clears up VERY quick once I go outside now that its warmer, but the scaring is still there. What are some good over the counter products to help clear this up, if there are any? I tried one skin brightener product but it leaves my face very greasy in the morning and this could cause more acne to form. I have added an image to show the problem.

Hi. I like Clinique's Post-blemish formula which helps acne scars to heal more quickly and prevents new spots from forming in the same place. For more persistant scars I use Clinique's Even Better Skin Tone Corrector which fades dark marks left by acne. Loiloi x

I do a lot of running outside now that its summer, will the tanning mess up the effects of the post blemish formula?

Also, I do exfoliate a lot and use some sylacidic acid products to fight acne. Will this process slowly remove the scaring by peeling away dead skin until the scars surface and peel away as well? Thanks.
