Would vitamin B12 be beneficial?

by xl_dean_lx, May 12, 2008 02:55PM
I recently had blood work done and everything came back normal. My blood count also looked normal on the test. From my understanding, a deficiency in B12 wouldve showed up in this test. If Im still feeling slightly fatigued could taking B12 even though there may not be a deficiency still help improve energy and awareness?

It is possible and we generally can not overdose on B12 from what I have learned. I am a very health individual that gets vitamin injection ever 3 weeks including B12, B complex, minerals etc. B12 does help with energy somewhat but if you already have high amounts I am not sure if it would help the only way to find out would be to try. It is fairly cheap (here it is anyways). There are many other contributing factors to low energy that can be tested, you can have 25 D hydroxy test done from your doctor to see where your vitamin D levels are at because that is a nother common deficiency. To get vitamin D we need adequite sun or supplementation to be at accurate levels.
