Solid Cold Nodule

I have had a Ultra sound, Thyroid Uptake and Scan done and now have a FNA scheduled for next week.  The nodule itself is 2.8cm x 1.8 x 1.5 - cold.  6 hr was 18.6 and 24 hr was 28.7  What is the likelihood that if the FNA comes back begnign or undetermined that the Dr will want surgery?

If the FNA is benign, then no surgery.  If suspicious, then it should be removed.  Make sure a good pathologist is looking at the slides -- if the doctor does not know the pathologist, ask for a second opinion from a university pathologist before considering surgery.
