Post op bi-lateral salpingoopherectomy

by Bubbs19, May 12, 2008 04:07PM
I am 50yrs old (hurray!!) and believe I had all the symptoms of the menopause for 18months; hot flushes,irregular/heavy periods etc.etc
In December 2007 I had both ovaries and fallopian tubes removed via laparotomy due to large bi-lateral dermoid cysts. Good recovery. Have now (4 months later) had heavy bright red vaginal bleeding should I be worried????

Not having ovaries you should not be bleeding.  I would contact my doctor.  There are benign reasons why you could be bleeding.
