Flesh colored bump behind right ear

by alysia, May 12, 2008 04:10PM
I have had a flesh colored bump on the back of my ear for many years. It is about the size of a pencitl eraser. It does not itch, burn, bleed, or cause me any pain.  Does this sound anything like a skin cancer? Should I get this checked out?

Hi,

The chances that this is cancer are very less as you say it has not changed in shape, size or color over so many years.

It would be best to get a doctor to look at the lesion once to rule out a lipoma, skin nodule, cyst, lymph node, etc.

Let us know about what your doctor advises and post us if you have any doubts.

Regards.
