breast pain

i am 21 years old. i have had a pain in my left breast for the past month even longer, i have felt it and there is a few small lumps in it. i am always feeling tired and have been a bit depressed the last few months, it might be something or nothing or am worrying just seeing if you have any sugestions. thank you

For your age, the most common cause of breast pain and the possible lumps are fibrocystic disease or even fibroadenoma which are benign conditions. Pain and lumps can also coincide with the woman's hormone levels with maximal pain just right before menses which usually declines by the time you menstruate. This can be accompanied by breast tenderness, fullness, and heavy sensation. I suggest you have this looked at by your doctor. If he deemed it necessary, he may request mammogram and ultrasound to aid him in the diagnosis. The feeling of tiredness can be directly related to your depressive mood. I suggest you get psychological counseling for this, as this would also heighten your sensation of pains. Regards.
