Melanocytes are cells responsible for pigmentation or skin color . Thus, hypermelanocytic refers to increased pigmentation. This may refer to a black mole or nevus. “A black or hypermelanotic nevus is a variant of melanocytic nevi characterized clinically by small, hypermelanotic lesions located on sun-exposed areas. Histopathologically there is marked elimination of melanin through the epidermis and horny layer (pigmented parakeratosis), thus mimicking malignant melanoma. However, lesions are small, symmetrical and sharply circumscribed. Melanocytes are arranged mostly at the dermo-epidermal junction, and there are neither atypical features nor mitoses. Black (hypermelanotic) nevi are probably related to so-called "new nevi of midlife" and "nevoid lentigo" .

I suggest you ask your physician about this. If you have this, then it is necessary that you refrain from unnecessarily touching or picking on the mole. Also, avoid direct sun exposure and avoid direct contact with the area to prevent further irritation.
