passing genital warts

by taximan247, May 13, 2008 08:29AM
Hi Doc...
i'm a gay man and was with my previous partner for 9month. at the start of the relationship i found out i had genital warts. so we both went to the clinic and i was give the aldara cream which worked wonders. we was sexually involved, with him i never used comdons but with me we did, they told us as we was sexually active my partner more than likely was exposed to the virus but was not at risk of getting the lumps which i had. we spilt a few months after. i recently and got involved with a man and didnt tell him i had caught the warts as (naive of me ) thought once they had gone i couldnt pass them on. but now i'm worried that i have passed them on. we never physically had sex but i put the head of my penis on his anus and there was pre-***. Is he likely to have the virus now.
i'm so worried now that i have passed it to him the though is making me physically sick.

Hi there -

This isn't the doc's forum, but I can try and help.

The chances of you passing the virus at this point is probably low, and the virus isn't spread by body fluids, so the thing you describe wouldn't transmit the virus.

If you aren't talking about stds with your partners, you don't know what they have that you might get.  Its not just about what you have.
