any new drugs for artery blockage

I was diagnosed with a 50% blockage of an artery off the main artery.  Since it was only 50% they said they can only treat it with drugs.  No stent can be done until it is over 80% blockage.

First, is there any new drugs that will remove a blockage and help with plague build up ?

Two, doesn't your body build more arteries/views to go around the partially blocked artery ?

There are no medications that remove blockages. High does cholesterol medications may cause some minimal regression. Cholesterol plaque develops from Fatty buildup inside the blood vessels over time. Some cholesterol is made by your body but most comes from the ingestion of animal proteins, eggs, milk in our diet. I say all of this to illustrate that the best way to prevent further progression of the cholesterol plaques within your blood vessels is the elimination of fat within you diet. Other than that, cholesterol agents that work in various ways to prevent absorption of fat from food are the lifelong solution.
