throwing up in second almost 3rd trimester

by heatherlynn22, May 13, 2008 03:33PM
ok i know "morning sickness" is normal through the first trimester....well i threw up twice the entire time. i was nauseous. very very very nauseous. well i'm almost into my 3 rd trimester (21 - 21 1/2 weeks right now) and i started getting my nausea feeling....i thought it'd go away so i ate some saltines and drank some water. it didn't. i ended up throwing up. a lot. well more then the other 2 x's i did. i thought it was because of the salad i ate. i thought maybe the itallian dressing just didn't fare well with my stomache. my mom said (and completely freaked me out) that it's not normal to be throwing up this late in a pregnancy. is it still normal to get sick every now and then? i mean it's not like it lasted. i threw up and felt better immediately.

also...after i get done with my workouts (i walk on my tredmill for an hour, do squats and work with my dumbells which weigh 5 lbs a piece so i'm within the weight range my ob told me) i get dizzy. i do eat properly 5-6 small meals a day, i've been taking all my pills and what not....any suggestions?

i hate calling my ob so much. i have them on my speed dial and i swear every person in that office knows the sound of my voice and phone # off by heart by now.

It is 100% normal to have morning sickness in late pregnancy. I had morning sickness with my first child in the beginning and it had came back in the end. It is just the fluxuation of hormones causing you to be ill, and debating on how sensitive you are you may just be getting sick from it again.

It's normal for it to come back in the third trimester.  That comes back plus the tired feeling.  That abnormally tired feeling, where you can fall asleep standing because you are sooo exhausted.  That returns as well.

oh the fatigue is starting to come back full force. i'm back to how i was the first 3 months...can't go a full day without at least a 2 hour nap...then by 9-10 pm i'm so tired again i fall asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow.

I feel for you!!.... I am still suffering waves of really bad nausea throughout the day and I am almost 22 weeks. I throw up once almost every day, it sucks!! And I've tried EVERYthing, from saltines to Preggie Pops to small meals to SeaBands... you name it! I can't believe I'm still feeling this miserable, but I just keep my eyes on the prize and remind myself that I'm halfway to the finish line! As long as you're not losing weight w/your sickness or are unable to keep anything down, it's nothing to worry about (but still bring it up to your doc at your next appt.) As far as dizziness goes, there's not much else you can do other than eat right, drink a LOT of water, and get enough rest. Don't overwork yourself, and if you have fainting spells be sure to call your doc. Best wishes to you!
