stinging when urinating

I have a little stinging when I urinate, and I've notice white discharge in my underwear.
could you tell me what might be causing it?

Hi.

There may be an underlying urinary tract infection here. A urinalysis and urine culture may help rule out an underlying UTI involving specifically the lower urinary tract (bladder and urethra).

May I ask if you have been sexually active lately?

Have you had previous UTI's?

If yes, was the UTI treated adequately?
