knee bumps

by medhel67, May 14, 2008 10:10AM
I was getting a dance from a stripper and i noticed she had 2 sores on the inside of her thigh, one was bandaged and the other was open on her thigh, I did not touch them and no sexual contact, I only touched her hips with my hand for a few minutes. 2 Days later  I noticed a small pimple(reddened with with little white pimple and hair coming out) on my knee cap and weeks later I had it on both knees. Now I was also working very late and wore some new type of pants which did not have good material and were not as loose fitting as normal. But in my head I still think I got something by touching the stripper with my hands. I was so concerned, I went and saw a doctor, the doctor said it was folliculitis and prescribed some quadriderm along with an emolient. The little pimples still come back from time to time and are very irriritating. I have also tried antibacterial soap, but no luck. The little red pimples are very small at the root hairs and are on both thighs closer to the knee caps. Can you advise if I should be concerned if I got anything from touching the stripper. Please advise what medication would work. Thinking about this every day and it is weighing me down.

I also noticed 3-4 white spots under the foreskin and thought if this is folliculitis. Thinking about it too.

Thanks Dr Rockoff

No, I don't think you need to be concerned, especially after you saw a doctor who examined you and found just folliculitis (which usually doesn't come from anything.)  The spots under the foreskin are probably just cystsm which are common on the penis and don't mean anything.  Stay in touch with your doctor if the folliculitis persists, but I don't think you picked it up from the stripper.

Take care.
