microdermabrasion

by robolo, May 14, 2008 12:49PM
I have been on Differin and Neobenz for the past 7 weeks and have had great results however, there is some red scarring that i have had for at least 4 months that will not go away. i also have a few slightly depressed scars and uneven skin.  i asked my dermatologist about microdermabrasion and he said to wait until my skin cleared up a bit more and it's been a week since i last saw him and since then my skin has improved a bit more. I was just wondering if i should ask him again or just wait another 5 weeks until my next apointment...
these scars are really bothering me and i am in need of a solution.
i am a 15 year old female

The Differin will exfoliate the skin and help to reduce scarring as well as clear acne. Acne scars are often superficial and will fade completely within one year.
I agree with your dermatologist, wait until your acne has cleared then you can concentrate on removing any stubborn scarring. Eloise x
