Scar of cold sore

I had cold sore 2 weeks ago. It was on my lip and under my lip. Now the scab goes away, but it leaves a red and inflated scar. The edge of my lip is unclear. Will the scar get flattened?

it will get lighter and lighter.  Are you applying moisturizer to it?

This doesn`t sound like a typical coldsore. Please have this looked at to rule out a skin cancer. Your doctor can give you more advice.
