Arotic Root Repair

An echocardiogram revealed that I have an enlarged Aortic root measured at 5.1. My cardilogist wants to refer to me to a surgeon. Can you tell me what the surgery entails and what the expected recovery time would be? I am a white male 59 years old considered to be obese.
