My husband gives me acne...

by Spoonyis, May 14, 2008 04:03PM
If any part of my face touches his body, I get acne. I'm talkin big clusters of them that form a big painful bump under my skin. I have very sensitive skin, eczema and am prone to having allergic reactions to stuff like detergents and certain soaps. But through all this, I manage to keep a clear complexion. He gets zits but he just gets them. I don't get them unless there's a reason. So, what I'm wondering is, if it could be possible that this is an allergic reaction I am having to the oils in his skin or if it's maybe just a chemical thing? If so, what can we do about it because I can't just not touch him, you know?

You and your husband should both use products which you can tolerate. I recommend La Roche-Posay, you should use the Toleriane range and he should use the Effaclar range. If they are not available in your area, look online or try the Eucerin range instead.
If your husband is clean-shaven it will irritate your skin less when you are intimate. I recommend he uses a shaving oil such as King Of Shaves which gives a very good result. After shaving he should apply Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream. He should also use a non-irritating shower gel such as the one by Eucerin and apply a bland body lotion like the one by La Roche-Posay to avoid irritating your skin.
