Persistent cold?

I seem to be getting sick quite a lot lately.  I'm going to assume they are not all related, but list them anyways:

-Sept '07: Cold [mainly just cough, congestion, and pain b/c of coughing]
-Nov '07: same thing, but not as bad, only stayed for a few days
-Dec '07: EXTREMELY bad sore throat, could not eat for 2-3 days
-Feb '08: flu, undiagnosed but all the family got it at the same time so I used their meds.  Also got a slight cold this month.
-March '08: cold [same symptoms as before, except add ear pain/popping after coughing/blowing nose so much]
-April '08: cold, only lasted a couple of days
-May '08: cold, this has been with me for over a week, plus add headache, dizziness, neck pain, and a nose that will not unclog no matter how much I blow it!  Also got a sore throat.  The ear pain is back but it's not persistent like the one before and I haven't lost my hearing for more than a few minutes.  The one previously I lost some hearing for about 2 weeks.

I believe that the colds, particularly the ones since March, are related, but since the symptoms aren't all the same I'm not sure?

Have had all of the above consistently since the middle of Feb.
Tried saltwater in nose, antibiotics, inhalers.  Still sick.  Going
back to the doctor.  Have you had any luck finding out what
this is and did you have a flu shot.  I did and became sick four
days later.  All the best to you and feel free to let me know how
you are doing.

I am there with you. I just posted my reoccuring symptoms since Christmas. My stuffiness has gotten better but I am still dealing with this on and off pressure with my head. Antibiotics do not seem to be helping much.... However, using a netipot seemed to have helped my congestion. It seems that this year has been a tough year for illnesses. I used to only get one to two major colds per year, this year has been awful. On Antiboitics 5 times.

Same here too.....get over one thing and a similar symptom seems to return.  I've had the antibiotics, had most of the over the counter stuff, been checked out at the hospital and still have remnants of congestion, cough,and flu like symptoms. started around january time. Never had anything like this before.

Still have upper respiratory congestion and post nasal drip and it is June 18.
Had three rounds of antibiotics.  Now what?

Hard to say what else there is to do. My doctor has finally admitted there is a virus doing the rounds that is hard to shake off, but he had no solution to the problem,he suggested more antibiotics which i refused..... and so it goes on...it's nowhere as bad as it was,but it's still there.
