tingling and other sensations down left side, possible anxiety, withdrawal symptoms?

by Hel_a, May 15, 2008 09:54AM
symptoms;
tingling sensation down left leg, concentrated around knee and down to foot. toes feel numb, at worst I lose a lot of feeling in my toes/ankle/knee. leg feels like it is giving way, it is really wobbly, and I have frequent dizzy spells while this happens. There is NO pain. its just wierd.
Going hot and cold,
hands are really cold, despite feeling like overheating, and being inside in a relatively warm place.
tightness at back of head.

freaking out over this leads to panic attack.
I have panic disorder, and the sensations mentioned above, while possibly a panic attack, are not like any one I have ever had before.

Went to hospital where they checked blood pressure (normal) and pin-pricked legs (left side MUCH more sensitive to *****). also tested strength of legs and left was much weaker.

Possible influences:
Have recently changed from lexapro 20mg to cipramil 20mg (2 months ago) and have over last two weeks tapered down cipramil to nearly nothing. Have done it very slowly though, so not sure if it is withdrawal symptoms.

Its really freaking me out, it does not feel normal in any way at all, and intensifies fast after standing/walking for a few hours.

Also get frequent headaches, constant back pain (work in a shop on feet) and have felt minor palpitations occasionally. Most stuff I attribute to panic attack/depression, but dont really know how right this is as they seem to blanket cover a lot of symptoms.

Thank you if you can help me at all.
