pain in my left breat

by patriciaj617, May 15, 2008 02:06PM
I had a core biospy done on 3/10/08....on both breast.....everything turned out okay.........my right breast is okay....my left breast is the problem...they put a clip in my left breast...not the right breast......and my left breast hurts like hell to the touch.....I called Regional Radiology and the nurse told me the clip has nothing to do with my pain....(I believe it has everything to do with it) Anyway, she told me to get in contact with my Doctor.....that it's not related to the clip.......I will make an appointment with my doctor and i know he''ll give me a referal for Regional Radiology.

This discussion is related to Core Needle Biopsy and clip placement.

Hi there.

I agree with you that your pain may have something to do with the clip, since any foreign or unnatural material inserted in the body may cause this type of pain.  Other causes would include hormonal responses of the breast that coincides with a woman's menstrual cycle.  It can also mean that there can be an underlying infection especially if the pain has concomitant swelling and redness.  I agree with the doctor consult so that this can be examined properly.  Also discuss about possible removal of the clips if he thinks that this is causing the pain.

Regards.
