I have a 16 month old son who 6 months ago was ill with what I thought was the flu. He was vomiting and had diahrea. His bowl movements then started turning colours until they were very light and almost grayish. I took him to see my doctor and even showed him a diaper with the bowl movement in it and he said my son had a virus and all we had to do was wait it out. Everyone I spoke with (family and friends) were all concerned with the colour of his poop. It finally went away about 8-9 days later and have had nothing since UNTIL TODAY! Last night at 11:00pm, my son was vomiting again. he also had watery stools. The third diaper I changed which was still liquid is starting to change to that greyish colour. I don't know if I should just brush this off or if he may have a liver problem. I read all I can and all I find out is different symptoms for things and he may have 3 or so symptoms but not all. I don't know if these symptoms are normally like this for a common flu. Please advise me.

Your son's weight and height is normal for his age. If there were issues with his liver, he would have more problems than discolored bowels. If you are concerned, then have your MD do liver blood-work on your son which will reflect the liver functions. This will let you know if there is a definite issue with his liver or not.
