3D ultrasound

by Elyz1214, May 15, 2008 03:30PM
I went to the perinatologist today, as they consider me "high risk" they did an ultrasound and the little baby was moving all around - it was so fun to see!  The tech went to get me some pics and came back with about 20 pictures - half of them were the 3D images! It was so neat to see the little thing with its arms and legs in 3D!

I go back at 18 weeks and they will do another one and look for the gender if I want to know (I do!). I am looking forward to it already!

I had to get more blood work done and have to do the stupid 24-hour-urine-collection thing to see how my kidneys have been doing.

Heart beat was 182 bpm - nice and strong!  I have pics online - you can email me at lyzard74 (at) yahoo (no spaces) and I will be glad to send em your way!

Yay!  They don;t have a 3D machine at my office...kind of a bummer.......It must be so cool to see that everything is developing well!

Have you heard back about your urine test yet??

Well "high risk" means nothing to me.  The 2 words I care about are "healthy baby".  :-) My DR has me as a high risk preg as well because of my previous m/c.  But my attitude is do whatever extra anything you feel you need to do or I need to take for my child to be healthy and I will never complain.

How exciting that the baby was moving all around!! My DR does 3D  in his office as well and 4D too.  I cant wait until I get to see it.

I have an immune disorder which often causes stillborns or miscarriages. He said that with this type of immune disorder it's "common" to miscarry around 18-20 weeks, but since I am taking all the medicines (daily shots in my stomach!) he said that chance should be quite diminished. They did a bunch of weird tests like C3 and C4 count the other day to see how my immune system is doing.

All I care about is "healthy baby" too!
