groin pain after heart catherization

I am experiencing signigicant groin/stomach pain after a heart catherization (3 days ago) that is radiating to my stomach and right side. My right leg is not numb but does have slight pain radiating down the backside to the back of the knee. There is no bruising or swelling at the site and most of the pain is north of the site leading towards my stomach. I had an ultrasound which did not show any blood pooling or clot. The blood flow through the artery sounded normal.
I was told to come back in one week for further evaluation but I am so uncomfortable I cannot stand straight up or walk without limping due to the pain. Using my stomach muscles to get up from a sitting position is unbearable. I have tried tylenal and Motrin to help with pain with no success.
I have always had a very high tolerance for pain and find this very alarming. What else should I be considering as a possible cause? Thank You

Sometimes the blood came accumulate in the pelvis and this will cause abdominal discomfort and numbness in the leg because the blood sits on a muscle that has nerves to the leg. An ultrasound would not see this. You would need a CAT scan. Call your cardiologist who did the procedure. Im sure they will want you to go to the ED. Its unusual to have those symptoms 3 days afterward.
