Should I be alarmed--bruises/lumps

by AnnaE, May 15, 2008 10:07PM
I developed a bruise on one breast about 2 weeks. I wrote to a doctor here and he said that the bruise and the lump uner it would gradually heal, but that I should have a mamogram to make sure. Well, the bruise is a lot better, but I dont think that the lump has reduced that mush. I was waiting until it healed to have the mammogram.

In fact I can feel three lumps, all in the same area of the bruise. Should I be concerned. I will call adoctor tomorrow. I am trying do recover from a double trauma--loss of 80% of the vision in one eye and mistreatment from the MD who treated me. I do not need more now.

I forgot to say that the bruise appeared after I had fallen face forward.

Thank you.

You should really see your Physician ... I realize that there are a few who answer questions here but none are Physicians who are employed by The Cleveland Clinic. A diagnosis cannot be made over the internet which is why you should consult your Physician who can do a clinical breast exam and order any tests he/she might feel necessary. Please think about making an appointment soon; this may be nothing except the injury you mention but it should be checked out to put your mind at ease.

I said I would call my doctor tomorrow. A doctor answered me here a week ago on the same question. I expect a physician to respond. I am an experienced med help member. I know the rules. Who said I expexted a diagnosis on the Internet?

I don't think you understand my question. I am not budging from my house if it is not necessary. I am traumatized by vision loss. I will not have a clinical whatever unless my md convinces me that I need it.

Did you feel a special need to put someone off tonight, someone who is already suffering from recent vision loss?

This is not the Forum where Physicians from the Cleveland Clinic answer the questions. The other Forum sometimes is diffifult to post on due to the fact that it has a limit of questions each day. This Forum is mainly one from patient to patient. I'm very sorry you found my comment offensive. I stand by my suggestion that you have your condition ck.d out by your personal Physician ... A clinical breast exam is simply the examination of the breast by a Physician in the office where one sees and feels the area of concern.
